About Ikonen Mautner
If you ever crossed the road in Herrengasse 2-4, Vienna you couldn’t unsee the fabulous Antique Orthodox Icons store of Ikonen Mautner.
Did you know that founded in 1959, Ikonen Mautner currently has roughly 200 Orthodox icons from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries? They are constantly updating and selling their assortment and the store feels like a real museum for an art lover.
So at Ikonen Mautner, you can find a selection of selected high-quality icons from Russia, Greece, the Balkans, the Middle East, and North Africa on display in the gallery. Each one of these icons has a certificate of authenticity from the icon expert at the Viennese Dorotheum.
Why did they need to update the website?
Their old website was outdated and was lacking quality. Our task was to build a new website from scratch. Its old website was built with WIX, but the new one is created with WordPress. We also changed the structure of the website adding and removing new pages and new products.
And the client wanted to have a trilingual website and add Russian as well in addition to German and English.

What did we do
Design
The first thing that we did was start the process of design creation.
Our talented designers completely transformed and changed the old and outdated design of the old website. They worked closely with the client and followed their guidelines and updates.
The inspiration for the website was taken from the old website but it was completely created from scratch. We used Adobe XD for creating the web design.
Implementation
After completing the design phase we then moved on to the implementation. For that, we used WordPress plugin Elementor
which is a drag-and-drop page builder. With this plugin, we created beautiful pages using a visual editor.
We implemented a Stripe payment system, which ensures that a card is valid and therefore protects customers against every insufficient situation and website users can safely do their business.
As a result of long and diligent work, we built a modern and responsive website, with all the functionalities and fundamentals.
